DEVELOPER SURVEY UPDATES:
a) Reviewed updated bed and unit spreadsheet û
i) total of 11,298 units and 12,248 bedrooms from 5 development companies: CHDC, EHC, First Community Housing, Mid-Peninsula Dev. Corp., and the Housing Authority
b) Reviewed updated developer survey report and pipeline projects
i) 14 Developers surveyed û est. 14,000 units and 2,400 shelter beds
ii) Next year we will survey CORE and JSM and MACSA and add their info to our developer list.
HOUSING SUMMIT DISCUSSION:
GOAL: Create a permanent, dedicated source of funds for very affordable housing
OBJECTIVE: (1) Host a housing summit in March to bring key stakeholders together to discuss options for dedicated revenue streams and unify around a financial strategy for 2004-05.
OBJECTIVE (1): Prioritize top viable local revenue sources and propose ideas to local and state elected officials.
OBJECTIVE (2): Develop unity among key stakeholders to focus energy and effort to influence the political will to create dedicated revenue source.
DISCUSSION Focus today: Key Tasks and Next Steps and ideas for the event logistics
NEXT Housing Summit Committee meeting in JANUARY, location and time to be announced û tentatively January 21 from 10-11AM.
